Stop Comparing Yourself Now!
Are you often comparing yourself to others?
Do you constantly look at others and how much they have achieved? Are you at a slow pace?
Do you wish to be as rich/attractive/intelligent as them?
We often tend to compare ourselves to others. Be it wishing to be taller, have happier relationships, or on the academic front.
Even if there is something we are best at, we still find people to compare.
The more we compare ourselves to others, the more the feelings of jealousy, frustration, and hopelessness emerge and become an external factor for depression and anxiety.
The days in our world are limited. We would never want our loved ones to waste their lives comparing themselves to others.
Comparing yourself to others is the secret of unhappiness.
If you are trying to stop comparing yourself to others, try these methods:
1.Practice gratitude.
Write ten things every day for which you are grateful. Be mindful and think of all those we tend to take for granted every day.
2.Write your achievements.
Pick a piece of paper and write all your achievements, each of your struggles, and how successfully you have overcome them.
3.Take a break from social media.
Social media has become a great stimulus for triggering comparison. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, take a break from social media. Deactivate for a few days/weeks if you need to!
4.Become aware of situations that put you down.
Try writing down all the things that make you compare yourself to others. Be it your colleague who pulls you down or the negative remarks from people. Write that down and next time that happens, ask your mind to take a step back and stop comparing.
5.Use comparison as motivation.
Use this self-sabotaging habit as your weapon to motivate yourself and give your best!
Winning over your mind is the best victory ever!
If you ever find yourself practicing this self-sabotaging habit, take a step back and take a deep breath. With a conscious mind, ask yourself,” Is this habit serving you anything good?” If not, then stop it right there and continue with your work.
After all, the only thing that is in your control is your effort and hard work.❤️
Lots of love.
