This is what happened when I started meditating in this rat race era
"ਮਨੁ ਜੀਤੈ ਜਗੁ ਜੀਤ"
This is the quote by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, first Guru of Sikh religion who taught us that you can conquer the world if you conquer your own mind.
Our mind is a restless wanderer.It can never stay or stick to one thought.Even if we try to focus our mind without any useless thoughts,we are never 100% successful.Our mind is that naughty student of our class who is very difficult to control and need to be tamed in order to get the desired results which is for the benefit of our health and own mind.
In this highly competitive era,at one point of time we all feel like we should be able to control our own life.
Why we are feeling this much stress,
anxiety,
anger,
restlessness,
health issues,
family problems and all
the problems that happen in our life.

Now you guys might be wondering that how can I control what is happening in my life because of other people.
So let me tell you about what most people are unaware of .
We have two minds:conscious and subconscious,which are two different entities.
Your conscious mind knows what is right and what is wrong,but your subconscious mind doesn't. It takes it as truth whatever you tell to it again and again.
IT CAN NEVER HEAR NO.
If you say I don't want this to happen to me,it will make it happen.
Now the question is how our subconscious mind can do things which are due to other people or things not under our control.
Well I guess most of you might be knowing that whatever we think,the subconscious mind sends signals to the universe and telling it what you want(maybe you don't even want that) and then receives those signals back as actions.
It's like that saying that even moving your little finger can have a huge impact on this universe since the relative distance between the finger and all the stars and planets change.
So after understanding all this concept ,that was the day I decided to meditate so that I can get control of my mind and allow only those things to happen to me which I want.Actually I liked to meditate since I was in fifth grade because it made me feel so better unaware of all these facts.But as now I was aware,so I can use more better methods.
Researchers say that we should meditate at least 20 mins. everyday in a cool and calm place(in the lap of nature if possible).You can extend it to more once you have gained experience and habit.
Let us see what changes I myself felt when I started meditating 20 mins. everyday.
1.Peace of mind and calmness
Like literally my life was really haphazard in the college.Like coping up with difficult challenges everyday made my mind messy.Meditation worked wonders for me.It gave me that complete sense of calmness,peace and tranquillity to me.It allowed me to focus on those sounds of nature like chirping of birds,blowing wind and all that beautiful stuff out there giving me peace of mind.And I bet that that is the best feeling ever in the world.
2.Better concentration,better marks
Being an MBBS student,Concentration was a vital part of my academic rather it is an important part of any work you wanna get engaged into.Helping me to focus,meditation tremendously increased my concentrating powers,finally increased my rank in the mark list.Yeah!
3.More emotional and mental stability
I was better and more stable emotionally and mentally.Meditation helped me learn self awareness,therefore I was aware of my own self was aware what I want and what not,what is good for me and what not.Finally it all helped me become emotionally and mentally stable and gave me a power of self control.
4.Less stress,anxiety and anger
As I already told you guys that meditation practising provided me with immense peace,it also removed all the stress and anxiety from my life which increased day by day with every passing day in med life.My temper was improved and people now were not that irritating to me.
5.Better control of my life
As meditation gave me the power of self control and high self esteem,my life was under my control.All the problems were under my control(read that paragraph for subconscious mind again!)and finally my life was under my own control,in my own hands.
6.More enthusiasm and positive outlook towards life
Believe me guys meditating daily in the morning time in the lap of nature made me so powerful,energetic and full of enthusiasm.I started believing that there is no problem to which there is no solution.I started focusing on solutions rather than problems which gave me a new positive outlook towards my life improving my life day by day.
7.Better learning ability and mental power
If you are a student you can completely correlate how important it is for you to retain things in mind so that you can get better marks for what you are studying.Even if you are not a student,a good memory is very important which can not just be obtained by nuts.Meditation increased the grey matter of my brain which is important for us to retain things thus increasing my learning ability and memory power.
8.Sense of gratitude
It helped me to focus,to focus on all those things that God gave us whether it is my breath sounds I am hearing amidst those noises at this moment,the chirping of birds in the morning or the food I ate today.Meditation helped me focus on God and all his blessings and helped me develop a deeper relationship with God.
9.Better problem solving ability
As I already told you guys that meditation gave me that power by which I started focusing on solutions rather than problems.Not only this,it improved my decision making powers helping me to solve my problems better and in an easy way.
10. Better decision making power
This is a very important aspect of our life in every field.Even if you are playing a stupid puzzle game,you need to make better decisions to achieve better results.I was better with my decision making powers(self awareness here too!),therefore I made some major changes in my life like stopped procrastinating,removed toxic people from my life.I learnt when to say no,which opportunity to grab and which not.
So guys meditation is a very strong weapon which can completely transform you if you practise it daily whole heartedly. It is as important as eating and sleeping.Just 20 mins. a day can change your life magically.But proper technique is important too.There are hundreds of apps and videos out there from where you can learn it for free.So guys don't waste much time,start meditating from today and see how your life changes for the good.
